Direct Access Entities (DAEs) are accredited entities that are expected to mobilise and manage GCF finance in a country. The primary roles of DAEs are to:
- Develop and submit funding proposals for projects and programmes
- Oversee project and programme management and implementation
- Deploy a range of financial instruments (grants, concessional loans, equity and guarantees)
- Mobilise private sector capital
Till date, two institutions in Bangladesh have been accredited as DAEs. The DAEs are:
